Carlos Herrera a.k.a “PRIMO”

Instrutor Primo, originally from San Bernardino CA. began

training capoeira with Mestre Acordion in March 2001.

He has grown to become a lead student, and a lead performer

with the UCA (united capoeira association). In 2014, he began

assistant teaching in the teens and adults Capoeira classes.

Instrutor Primo has taught teens and adult classes in Chandler

and Mesa AZ. and has been part of UCA Performance for many

years.

In 2020 he received the next level of blue and yellow cordão at Horne

Commerce Center event hosted at UCA Capoeira Phoenix, AZ attended

by Mestre Besouro with special presence of Mestre Acordeon and Mestra Suelly.

When I first began my Capoeira training, Mestre Acordion dubbed me "Primo" for the movie Only the Strong. I wasn't a fan of the name, but it stuck like glue. Before I knew it, everyone was calling me Primo.
